We’re so glad you’re here! Whether you’re relocating or just settling in, the Town of Brooklyn is a peaceful, close-knit community you’ll be proud to call home. Located just 25 miles south of Indianapolis and 30 miles north of Bloomington, Brooklyn offers small-town charm with easy access to big-city convenience.
To help make your move smoother, we’ve gathered the most important information and services you’ll need as a new resident.
Before you move in, please contact our office to begin the utility service application process. Here’s what you’ll need:
- A completed service application (link to application)
- Proof of property ownership ( Warranty Deed)
- Copies of driver’s licenses for all account holders
- A deposit (amount discussed during initial contact)
Renting your property? The property owner may decide to have you listed as a C/O on the Utility Bill. Should this be your case, then no deposit would be needed. In the event the property owner wants to opt out and make you sole responsible then you would need to pay deposits
